European Affordable Energy Alliance™
The European “business model” needs an update
We can
no longer rely
on “
importing security from the U
S,
cheap energy from Russia
and
outscoring production to China
”
Global supply chains are under constant threat from (trade) wars and a pronounced trend towards “re-regionalisation”
Russia is no longer a secure supplier
Dependence on China is irresponsibly high (up to 95%)
The
clean tech revolution
is
fundamentally altering the economics of energy
Energy is moving from being fuel- to technology-based
Energy becomes ubiquitous and highly decentralised; the price advantages of location become ever smaller
Our Mission
We unite CleanTech leaders and leverage existing technology and know-how
to provide Clean and Affordable Energy for Europe
Core Beliefs
European
To retain strategic sovereignty (vis-a-vis China, Russia and also the US) Europe needs to act together.
Europe has the potential to supply itself with renewable energy – both in terms of space and producing the necessary technology industrially.
Scale Clean Tech
All necessary technologies for a 100-perecent solar- and wind-based energy system already exist. They just need to be scaled.
PV and wind are already the cheapest sources of energy and will become even cheaper with growing scale. The quicker we use them, the better.
Enable Digital Solutions
We need to harness the power of machine learning in order to find the cost-optimal path using a digital twin of the European energy system.
We need a pan-European digital knowledge platform that enables smooth collaboration across languages.
